perinatal mental health providers in loudoun & fairfax

If you haven’t already explored mental health therapy or counseling, get with it! I joke, but actually pregnancy is a great time to consider finding yourself a therapist. Many mental health counselors are specifically trained to support individuals during the perinatal period and understand the deep complexities of pregnancy, birth, motherhood, postpartum, and parenting. We know that statistically, 1 in 5 women are going to experience a postpartum mood disorder, and if you’ve previously experienced depression, anxiety, or other mental health disorders, you’re at higher risk. Early support can make a difference and working with a skilled therapist can equip you with a wide range of tools for processing birth, parenting, strengthening your relationship with your partner, and prioritizing self-care.

Finding the right therapist for you can take a little time, and dating around can be worth it to find the right fit! Therapists and counselors listed below are located in Loudoun or Fairfax County and specialize in supporting women in the perinatal period.
